It May Seem a Bit Strange: Prayer of Illumination

It may seem a bit strange—yes, funny—gracious God, 
that if we are to ponder the Holy Spirit, we need the Holy Spirit to help us.
Still, the Holy Spirit is up to the task. 
She transformed the original 12. 
Her role is to teach us about Jesus Christ, his Way, and to call to mind his words.
Bless us, O God, as the Holy Spirit takes up her task among us, 
so that we are empowered to take up our task, learners on the way as followers of Jesus. Amen.
