Loving God, We Come to You Today Knowing We Will Experience Your Presence in This Place

Loving God,
we come to you today knowing we will experience your presence in this place.

You are in the stained glass windows.*
You are in the Bible we hold dearly.
You are in the songs we sing.
You are in the prayers we pray.

You are in the stories of your Son, you in the flesh come to teach us to spread your word.
You are on the cross that hangs on the wall.
You are in the people we are gathered with today.

You are in the feast we share at your table.
You are in the water in the font.
You live in us and you work through us.

We are here to experience your presence and to be guided by your wisdom, that we may go out into the world and love our neighbours as you love us. We ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
