Searching on GatheringWorship.ca
We’ve received some concerns and questions about searching the Gathering website. Thank you for sharing them. Your comments are helpful to us as we continue to adjust the site to meet your needs.
Here are some suggestions to improve your searches:
You may begin a search in one of two ways.
- On your dashboard, go to the Tools drop-down menu at the top or to the grid of boxes with the green icons at the bottom of the page. Choose the appropriate one. This will take you to the search page. This method works very well if you are searching for general themes, because you can use the filters on the right to refine your search.
- On your dashboard, select the small magnifying glass on the top right-hand corner of the page. This will take you to a search box that asks, “What are you looking for?” With this method, you can quickly find a specific prayer, service, or song, if you know the title or first line. If more than one result appears, filter by the name of the author.
With either method, you must reset your search if your first search is not successful. The Reset Search button is next to Filter Your Search on the top right. You may need to do this several times during your search. Resetting your search opens your new search to all the possibilities the site has to offer.
In addition to the search filters on the right of the search page, you can access additional filters by selecting the plus sign at the bottom. Currently, Music-Prayer Type is under Additional Filters. This is a filter you are likely to want to use often. We are asking our website developer to move it into the main filter list, for easier access.
Once again, if your initial search does not produce what you are looking for, select Reset Search and then select the appropriate options in Theme, Music-Prayer Type, Christian Calendar, and so on.
