We are about to experience something new, and yet, it may seem familiar. We are about to do something countercultural, and yet, upon paying attention, it may seem familiar. We are about to experience the Divine in all her many beings, shapes, and forms.

Then let’s begin. Let us pray:

Great Wisdom, you call us to be present in all times. It is easy to be present when times are good. Yet we struggle with times when challenges are placed before us. Fear enters our hearts and grows as the struggle goes on and on. Yet you feed us in joy and in fear, and clothe us with wisdom for all tasks.

So today, we pray that we will have strength for the journey ahead and that we will discover joyful, encouraging companions along the way. Amen
