Happy New Year, Gathering Community!

May 2025 be filled with the gifts of hope, peace, joy, and love.

As always, thanks for being here. Without you, there is no Gathering. Your presence, contributions, and ongoing support are deeply appreciated, and I look forward to another year of worship leadership together.

Due to the recent postal strike, many subscribers may experience a delay in receiving the Lent/Easter issue. As a result, we have worked hard to make sure that most of the issue is available online.

To help with your worship planning, here are the Complete Weekly Services for Lent-Easter and the Complete Prayers for Lent-Easter 2025.

If you primarily use the print resource, you may want to check out the Using the Website section on our FAQ page for some handy how-to guides.

Here are some additional Lenten resources that you might find helpful in your planning:

The Fruits of the Spirit: A Lenten Series

Hope, Peace, Joy, Love: A Lenten Liturgy

A Covenant of Promise: A Lenten-Candle Liturgy

Here in This Place, a response song perfect for Lent

What Shall I Pour, a communion hymn for the season of Lent.

In case your community “puts away the Hallelujahs” for Lent, you may want to check out this Living Language column.

And lastly, this upcoming Lent-Easer issue continues to explore 100 Years of United Church Worship (part 2).

I know that many of us are planning the Lenten season now, so we are especially thankful that we are able to share these resources with you digitally as we wait to receive the print issue.

Wishing you all the best in this new year.
