What's New: Pentecost 1, 2025
On Easter Sunday, the music minister at my church weaved The Beatles’ “Here Comes the Sun” into his postlude, and it felt so right, because wow, it has been a long, cold and lonely winter. And wow, it feels like years since the sun (and The Son) have been here. My heart and spirit welcome the June sun with the joy and promise that I welcome Easter morning. I am reminded that each Sunday is meant to be a little Easter, despite the weather (internal and external). But wow, sometimes I need a little reminder, that the sun is coming, and because of this it is going to be all right.
Wishing you resurrection joy as you prepare and lead worship for those of us who are longing for The Son.
